Frances has been teaching for 15 years , qualified to teach Hatha Yoga and Yoga therapy with Vivekananda Yoga. She Also teaches Ashtanga Method of Vinyasa, having been trained by Greg & Tracy Cooper of Ashtanga Yoga Centre of Melbourne & currently being trained by Eion McCarthy of Simhanada Ashtanga Yoga Melbourne. She is affiliated with Australasian Yoga Institute to teach and train in Yoga studies and Philosophy ( including food as Medicine).
Frances also prepares and trains students to become teachers of Yoga & Yogic Philosophy in affiliation with Jahne Hope Williams, who pioneered one of the very first Victorian teacher training programs in the 1970’s, and is still offering teaching programs.
Frances also has a background in bodywork having been trained and mentored by Brandon Raynor.
Her teachings of kitchen Medicine and Food as Medicine are an extension of 15years of study & research across many different cultures and traditions. As a foundation Frances studied at The Southern School of Natural Medicine (Nutrition), Australian College of Natural Medicine (Herbs) as well as The School of Intuitive Sciences (Body Energy). She is qualified in cellular health using tissue salts (Cell Salts) – having completed training, research and studies with Martin & Pleasance.
Her yoga experience and qualifications are fused with Ayurveda and Ayurvedic Healing with food as medicine. Over the 15 years she has worked with a broad variety of healers, teachers and mentors in the fields of yoga and food.
Frances has taught for many years in Melbourne, Daylesford and Apollo Bay where she now resides with her family.
Prior to teaching Yoga & Kitchen medicine Frances worked as a Lecturer in Business Law & Economics @ RMIT Universtity for almost a decade.
